Panel: Base Setup¶
The Base Setup panel contains projection, instancing and, the Transform Base Geometry Node input values.
Panel Components¶
Projection Type¶
These buttons will project the base shape into other shapes.
Tip
Changing the shape of the base object will enable instancing of country objects. This will also disable the individual country objects in the viewport and render.
The flat projection is also named OFF because it turns object instancing off to enable individual country selection.
Override this by turning instances on using the button below.
Changing the Projection type will reset the offset values in the Transform Base controls below.
Changing the Projection type to OFF/Flat will reset all values in the Transform Base controls below.
Instance objects around shape¶
ON: Turn on object instances around base shape, this will disable the individual country objects in the viewport and render.
OFF: Turn on object instances around base shape, this will disable the individual country objects in the viewport and render.
Transform Base¶
These settings are good for animating the projection object.
Offset: Change the origin of the projection object.
Translation: Change the location of the projection object.
Rotation: Change the rotation of the projection object.
Scale: Change the scale of the projection object.

Select desired projection
Transform the base object¶
Transforming (Translate, Rotate, Scale) the base object after a projection has been set does not work as usual.
Instead, use the panel Transform Base to Animate/Transform the Base Object.
Choose an Offset (Change the Origin point)
Change/Keyframe a Transform control.
